It was ten years ago on this night when he died,
no one could have stopped him as much as they tried,
some say it was murder, but indeed it was not,
the little boy just liked his candy a lot.
With chocolates and licorice and candy galore,
his belly was full but he still wanted more.
No piece went unopened, no treat would he save,
he devoured his way to a sugary grave.
On all Hallow’s Eve he returns every year,
when you hear the leaves rustle you know that he’s here.
With tricks and treats and a few friendly taunts,
the streets of his home town he happily haunts.
